“FREEDOM HAS A NAME”
“THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED, TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.” Jesus (Luk 4:18-19)
Looking at history, often times if not at all times there is always someone or some people behind a cause to bring about freedom of any kind. Someone or some people that ignite it, fuel it and see to it that the freedom they are fighting for comes to pass.
Freedom for the youth in Malawi, yes in all of Africa will come. This freedom has a name and that name is Jesus. “Not by might, nor by power but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts (Zec 4:6). As we pray for freedom we would like to have this truth penetrate and saturate our minds that freedom = Jesus. He ignites it, fuels it and sees to it that it truly comes to pass. We are His vessels through which He works but we are not the center.
Prayer point: Lets pray that Jesus helps us see that He is the focus for the freedom we desire to see among the youth of Malawi and Africa as a whole.
